I’m a Geordie writer, journalist, radio host, and musician working across music, audio, and cultural journalism. My work centres on art, class, place, ambition, and community.
Reese On Record serves as a vessel to project my passions, find what makes my soul fiery and bright, discuss any and every crevice of humanity that I am curious about. I evaluate what inspires me, helps me, makes me happy, makes me angry, all in a wild geordie voice. I refuse to tether my ideas and spontaneous creation, and so this platform hosts a variety of concepts and geneses. I post a range of content: reviews, blogs, columns, podcasts- some serious and some not-so.
I’ve just completed an international BA in Journalism at the University of Leeds, where in my third year I was selected to study abroad at Australian National University. There, I also freelanced as a radio news presenter at Capital Radio Newsroom. My work reflects a love for radio, music, investigative journalism, and telling stories that echo with feeling and urgency.

I’m the frontwoman and lead writer for ALVO JADE, a three-piece indie rock band championing big noise and classic fuzz. We have two EPs released on streaming, and we play live around the UK.
